Eiji Aonuma zelda series producer commented recently to EGM;

“What I can tell you is that it’s going to use the touch screen for a very unique control system that people have never experienced in a Zelda game before. I think one of the important elements of the Zelda series has always been that you feel like you’re in the world doing the things that Link is doing and touching the things that Link is touching. This time you’ll be able to use the touch screen and actually touch those items and objects yourself.”

March is almost upon us!

GDC is on its way in the month of March, the 24th to be exact. Satora Iwata will be giving a speach so expect something big to be said/shown.

also the DS lite is out in Japan on the 2nd(the white one the blue ones will be out on the 11th due to manafactoring errors).

but best of all i will be doing a obscure competition, i will post what is required to win on the 1st but i will tell you now that it is to do with Maro kart DS and is a style of endurance, anybody who beats my score by emailing me proof in the form of a picture will recieve a prize which i will email to them.

tallon crabs art

Hello this is Tallon Crab and some art I have done about nintendo games.

This is supposed to be the large bird that you have to fight in Zelda the Wind waker, but I think the colours I've used look more like what twilight princess enemies may look like, but let's hope those birds won't be in the new game(lets hope they are. Gex).

These are some kind of prehistoric sea creatures actually not that far off metroid creatures, especially the blue lobster thing.

in an interveiw with spike tv Reggie fils aime revealed that zelda twilight princess will not be seeing a release date untill fall but will still apear on gamecube. please excuse me while i go away and cry.

titled leons gateway, this vid is a major spoiler for anybody who intends to complete the game so dont watch it!!! but if you are like me and have already completed it of your too scared to play it (i am talking to you talloncrab) watch it, it is about 5 mins long and has all the coolest moments from the game. plus the is a great backing tune.

My DS mod. zelda styleee *updated*

I did intend back in 04 to get the zelda special edition GBA SP, but instead opted to get an imported DS (I live in england). now around 14 months later i have finaly got round to painting a triforce onto my DS. It now as of today has the Miyamoto signiture vinyl decal across it curtisy of official nintendo magazine(see below). Just a heads up, when the DS Lite comes over to europe, this will proberly find its way onto Ebay, i will keep you informed.

p.s sorry about the crap quality pics, they were taken on my mobile phone as i dont have a digital camera yet!!!

satora iwata gave a speech in a DS conference recently revealing some exciting things about the DS/DS lite.


1. There will be a web browser program from opera and a TV tuner-link
2.there will be a Wifi enabled winning eleven for the console-link

3. Release dates for Japan including the new Mario Bros game (may)-link

4.more from the "touch generation", games similar to brain training. link
there will be travelers support, which acts like a translator
Kanji hand writing trainer
and a cook book
all of these are currently only planed for Japan.

Nintendo Co. announced new wireless features for its DS portable video game player Thursday, including a free service that will let consumers beam game demos and other content directly to the device.

Beginning in late March, the company plans to deploy electronic kiosks at thousands of U.S. retailers including Best Buy Co. Inc. and GameStop Corp.

Owners of the dual-screen DS who go near the kiosks will automatically receive a notice on their devices offering game demos, movie trailers and other content for temporary download. The information will be erased from the DS once it's turned off.

The service uses the DS's local-area wireless networking capabilities, which until now had been used just to facilitate head-to-head play by gamers near each other.

Nintendo also said it was adding voice chat to the sci-fi action game "Metroid Prime: Hunters," available March 20. Players who join up for multiplayer battles over Nintendo's wireless Internet service will be able to talk to each other through the system's built-in microphone before and after games, but not during, said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America Inc.'s executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Fils-Aime added that a slimmed down, all-white Nintendo DS Lite would go on sale in Japan next month.

Handheld video games and hardware helped buoy the industry to record sales of $10.5 billion in 2005, according to the NPD Group research firm.

Nintendo said it has sold about 4 million DS systems in North America since it was launched in late 2004.

so in summary;

Here are some of the things which he may talk about;

1. The success of the DS and the Wi-Fi connection- I am sure he will bost about sales figures and the success of new inovative franchises (nintendogs, brain training) attracting new audiences- chance:99.99%
2. Targets for the Revolution- may admitt Gamecube sales are a dissapointment and set sales targets for the revolution - chance:70%
3. Anounce the real name of the Revolution- answer the question that is on everyones lips- chance:30%(will leave it to Iwata at GDC in march)
4. Show Revolution footage- May show another Video like the the one at TGS with people using the controler or a clipit of a game or two such as super smash bros, metroid prime 3 and the long awaited Mario 128- chance:40%
5. Will confirm the Zelda TP rumers about Revolutionary compatibility- This could be the time if it is true to tell the public officialy, as seem as people already know thanks to NGC magazine that this will be the case i think it would be stupid for Nintendo to keep it a "secret" for as long as possible (if NGC are telling the truth)- chance:45%
6. Will show the two other DSlite colours- with its release only a month away in Japan, this is the last large event to show them- chance:85%
7. will anounce DSLite release details for the U.S.- although we already have suspision to believe that it will be released mid May, it it likely that it will be officialy reveiled on thursday-chance:90%
8. the revolutions "other feature"- we know there is something yet to be reveiled thanks to shigeru but I think they will save it for E3 in May-chance:10%
