Do you need a gun to survive a tidal wave???

This clip from Nintendo's Pre-E3 Wii show real depicts one of the biggest shockers from Nintendo at the show; Disaster day of crisis. We were later given this description of the game from the Nintendo site;

Survive nature's most devastating catastrophes in Disaster: Day of Crisis, a panic-inducing survival game for Wii. When a wave of natural disasters pummels the United States, a rogue special forces unit takes advantage of the chaos and seizes a nuclear weapon. Players race a car down a mountain to escape a roaring pyroclastic flow, dodge toppling buildings during a devastating earthquake and swim for their lives in a raging flood. No matter what happens, fight to survive.

We were then treated to this concept art;


Which shows what we must assume is our main character holding a gun. Nintendo describes it as a "fight to survive" which may point to you not just being an average Joe in this game instead you will most likely take center role in trying to reclaim the Nuclear weapon.

unfortunately this game wasn't playable on the show floor so we have no idea how the game dynamics will work but anyhow this is sounding like it could be an amazing title which will no doubt help Nintendo shed off their kiddy image.
